OKEx is moving to Malta

The second largest transaction in the world, the crypto-exchange OKEx in Hong Kong, announced plans to open an office in Malta.

“We are confident in the state support of Malta and therefore decided to make this region the basis for its further growth,” the OKEx official statement said. The company, which is second only to Binance, added that its representatives met with the country’s officials in order to better assess the prospects for development, and as a result, the “only true solution” to expand the business was accepted.

Chris Lee, the head of OKEx, noted that the basis for this decision was his belief that the authorities of Malta share absolutely the same values as his company, the main one of which is the protection of the rights of traders and a wide audience.

Recall, the authorities of the island state have repeatedly stated that their country to date is one of the most friendly in relation to crypto technologies and fi ntech. In this regard, the Government of Malta continues to actively promote the image of the country as the world market leader in digital assets.
